Bean Can (2008) - Written and filmed in Filmbase during a directors course run by Vinnie Murphy. An unsuspecting woman is dragged into an unsettling encounter with an aggressively typing woman in a case of mistaken identity.
Flight of Bob
Flight of Bob (2006) - Installed and filmed on the grounds of Art Block A, previously the electro-shock treatment facility of St Columba’s Hospital. ‘Bob’ a boy whose perception of time did not follow a linear path carries out a daring escape by hurtling down a hill in a trolley and sticking his ‘reality’ in a single moment to achieve flight forever. Viewers were seated in a wallpapered ‘Bob’ themed room similar to that of Bob’s imprisonment. Music sampled form ‘Bell Orchestre Salvatore Amato’.
Goldfish Bowl
Goldfish Bowl/Between the Changes (2005) - A slow motion time-lapse experiment using images from commercials and daytime TV. A camera placed in front of an analog television recorded the transition and melding of images when changing from one channel to another. The footage was edited into a constant stream of slowed, stalled, reversed layered and repeated images along to a soundtrack of reversed song intros to ‘Bright Eyes Time Code’ and ‘Eels Efils’ God’.
Memory
Memory (2004) - An experimental piece exploring false memory making. Sentences from several different scientific texts on the subject of memory were cut and mashed together to make one new coherent piece. The piece was then read by three actors and cut and mashed again from the different performances. The installed piece was looped to suggest to the viewer that each time the piece was watched it was remembered differently and so altering it in their own memory.
